From the release of their EP Sweet FA in May of 2016, Peach Pit have been a band to watch. Hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia, the trio have a reputation for creating some feel-good tunes. The band consists of Christopher Vanderkooy on guitar, Peter Wilton on bass, Mikey Pascuzzi on drums, and Neil Smith on vocals/guitar. In their newest release of “Seventeen,” we as the viewer, follow around lead singer Neil Smith as he jams out to the track on a Walkman, while dancing in some rather desolate locations. The lyrics: “There’s something dark hangin’ over my head. I’m seventeen don’t hold your breath” evoke a feeling of teenage nostalgia and reminds us of a time where maybe we hadn’t made the best decisions. The band is heading out on a mini tour this August/September with dates across Canada and the West Coast.
